Muzzleloader Accuracy Xperts (M.A.X.) was created and is owned by Russell Lynch. Russell is a life-long hunter, outdoorsman, and shot professionally as a long-range rifle and pistol competitor. He was the 2nd Marine in the history of the Marine Corps to go Nationally Distinguished in one shooting season. He earned the title of "The President's Hundred" 2 years running and was also a USMC Scout Sniper for over 6 years. Along with the many professional shooting schools he has attended, Russell has also taught at many shooting schools. Russell has been a Certified Law Enforcement Marksmanship Instructor for the State of South Carolina for over 18 years. The study of ballistics has been part of his life for over 35 years, first as a runaway hobby, and now professionally.
M.A.X. was created when Russell had a poor experience with an upper-end inline muzzleloader around 2003. The manufacturer of the rifle was not much help in fixing the accuracy problem, so Russell took matters into his own hands. Using his past professional experience with shooting and ballistics, rifles and marksmanship to achieve precision, long-range accuracy from that situation. Russell then took his knowledge and began to share it with other so that they might get the same results from their muzzleloaders. And M.A.X. was born.
